Gorringe’s Auction House to host a jewellery lunch at Gravetye Manor.
On Tuesday 30 June Gorringe’s is delighted to host a jewellery lunch at Gravetye Manor – the charming historic hotel famed for its Michelin Star restaurant, where freshly grown produce becomes part of every meal.
We have a limited number of tickets for this special luncheon where, in addition to enjoying a delicious gourmet meal in beautiful surroundings, you will discover expert insights about the world of jewellery, courtesy of Gorringe’s renowned and respected Head of Jewellery, Sam Hug.
This event on Tuesday 30 June offers an exceptional opportunity for guests to combine a Michelin-starred culinary experience with a deep dive into the world of fine jewellery. It is also an opportunity to spend a wonderful afternoon, relaxing in a delightful hotel in the heart of the splendid Sussex countryside.
The Lunch
The event begins at 1pm with a glass of English sparkling wine and an enlightening conversation between Gorringe’s Executive Director, Oliver Searle, and Gorringe’s Head of Jewellery, Sam Hug. Together, they will provide an illuminating and entertaining look behind the scenes of the jewellery auction world.
You will hear what determines value, trends in buying jewellery, how jewels come to auction and tips on how to navigate the buying and selling process. An interactive Q&A session follows, where guests can engage directly with the experts.
At 2pm, guests will enjoy a curated three-course lunch in the newly designed, Michelin-starred restaurant at Gravetye Manor, featuring floor-to-ceiling glass walls that offer uninterrupted views of the glorious gardens.
Following dessert, you will have the opportunity to admire several outstanding pieces of jewellery, discovering their captivating histories and learning about the artistry, techniques and origins which make each piece truly remarkable.
Whether you’re curious about consigning a piece, interested in buying or selling, or simply just love beautiful jewels, this lunch will deliver sparkle, expertise and an enjoyable insight into the fascinating world of jewellery.
Private valuations will be available on request throughout the afternoon.
Tickets for the event are £130 per person, which includes: a glass of sparkling wine on arrival, a three-course meal with wine, the jewellery presentation hosted by Sam Hug and Oliver Searle and bespoke valuations with Sam.
Due to the intimate nature of the venue, space is strictly limited and tickets are expected to sell out quickly on a first-come, first-served basis. Please do book early to avoid disappointment.
