Jewellery, Silver and Watches Sale Results
Gorringe’s May sale of Jewellery, Silver and Watches achieved a strong total of over £400,000 (including fees), with more than 90% of lots sold and over half exceeding their high estimates. The results reflect continued buyer confidence and strong demand in jewellery across both period and modern pieces.
Jewellery led the day, with two elegant Art Deco highlights taking top billing: a pair of natural pearl and diamond earrings sold for £15,000, closely followed by a 1920s emerald and diamond geometric strap bracelet, which achieved £9,000.

Further notable results included a Cartier ‘Perles de Diamants’ necklace (c.2000) at £8,000 and a rare 17th-century jet devotional ring, which sold for £3,400.

A charming Georgian sapphire and diamond butterfly brooch also soared above expectations, achieving £9,000.

In the silver and watches sections, a Renaissance German ‘pineapple’ cup and cover brought £6,000, while a Patek Philippe ref. 2526 reached £10,000, affirming continued interest in classic timepieces and historically significant silver.
